From among 20 Finalists, eleven schools were selected as winners! These schools were rated on rigorous criteria based on attendance, number of low income students, student achievement and much more.

Twenty finalists have been selected for the NCUST 2008 Excellence in Urban Education Awards. Thirty-three additional schools are to be placed on the NCUST Honor Roll.
